AMERICAN STATION’S PLANS. EXCHANGE OF GREETINGS. By Telegraph.—Presa Association. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. L. B. Wilson, president of the WCKY radio station, Covington, Kentucky, United States, has cabled the RtHon. G. W. Forbes as follows: In response to requests from thousands of listeners in New Zealand, WCKY will give a special three-hour goodwill broadcast, starting at midnight on Saturday, December 17, eastern standard time. The broadcast will bring New Zealand messages from President Hoover, the Presi-dent-elect (Mr. F. D. Roosevelt), the British Ambassador and others. America’s most famous orchestras will broadcast. Our frequency is 1490 kilocycles.” Mr. Forbes has cabled to Mr. Wilson the following reply. “The people of New Zealand send cordial greetings to the people of the United States and trust that 1933 will bring a substantial improvement in, the present world-wide economic conditions. We greatly appreciate the action of WCKY in arranging a goodwill broadcast.
