The cricket match between the Waitaki and Southland Boys’ High Schools was concluded to-day, > a high westerly wind making conditions difficult Waitaki made 318 in the first innings and 24 for none in the second and won by 10 wickets. Southland in the first innings made 162 (Uttley 42; Smith four for 54, J. -S. Dick four for 36) and in the second innings 178 (Spence 83; Smith five for 67, Kent four for 23).
