The spectator® were- thrilled at seeing the “big four” in action. The totals at the end of the second day’s play, were: Australia and New Zealand 5243, England 4834. , During the afternoon session Walter Lindrum (Australia), playing against Joe Davis, scored 1009 while the latter scored 315. W. Newman (England), playing against Clark McConaehy, scored while the New Zealander scored 410. At the evening session Lindrum scored 692 and Davis 534, McConaehy scored (including 422 unfinished) and Newman 400. , • '
