Repairs have been attended. ’A demoristration of-electric cooking and waterheatjng was made. . .“Maintenance work has been, attended to and- street lighting circuits in Victoria, -Grey and Monnrouth Streets have been changed to 230 volts. Two telephone services; were run-—one -to th? ■ / workshop and one .to the assistant’s house. This is’ necessary in/the case of a breakdown, as communication can ' be had direct; ” 3 .“Various tests' have been made at the subrstation with power board officials. f " It. is possible that the substation will be moved to a new position shortly after Christmas. '• ■ “Approximately 1,349,000 gallons of wiater have, been pumped for a consumption of 3856 units, compared with . 5518 units and 1,692,500 gallons for November, 1931, a'decrease of 1698 units and 342,900 gallon?. The bores continue to give an ample supply and no difficulty has been experienced. “Complaints of interference with radio reception from power lines have been investigated' but’ have 'in all cases proved to be not from the council's lines.
