The weather will be fair to fine generally at .first, with cool temperatures, but unsettled conditions win develop tomorrow in western and far southern districts of the South Island. Temperatures will rise. A moderate anti-cyclone is moving onto northern “New Zealand, but a fresh depression has passed Tasmania and will be affecting the southern districts tomorrow. Modcrate-to strong southerly winds are probable north of Greymouth and Kaikdura. Elsewhere north to north-west winds may be expected. Northerlies ; will gradually become general. Seas will be rough between Kaikoura and East Cape and elsewhere moderate.
