SYDNEY FLORAL PAGEANT

PROPOSAL FOR ANNUAL EFFORT.

DIRECT NEW ZEALAND INTEREST.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Nov. 30. Fired by the success of the floral pageant at the opening of the harbour bridge in March, the organisers have decided to make an annual effort on similar lines associated with gala week on the Easter holiday season. New Zealand will be directly interested in the floral float, depicting an historic Maori canoe with a party of paddlers in full war kit. The Government Trade Commissioner (Mr. L. J. Schmitt) and several ex-New Zealanders form the committee preparing this item, which is expected to furnish a unique feature of the programme.
