NEW BISHOP OF MELANESIA
CEREMONY OF CONSECRATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Bishop-elect of Melanesia, the Rev. W. H. Baddeley, formerly vicar of Southbank, Yorkshire, was consecrated this morning in the cathedral church of St. Mary, Parnell, at an impressive service. There was a crowded congregation and some people had to stand. The actual laying-on of hands by the archbishop and four bishops surrounding the bishop-elect, and each with a hand on his head, was a memorable sight
