They wore respectively pink, green and blue ankle-length frocks of satin with felt hats and shoes to tone and carried sheafs of lupins and peach blossoms. There were also three small flower girls wearing ankle-length satin frocks to match the bridesmaids and carrying posies to tone.

On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her tiny niece, Beth Broad. The church was decorated in black and gold, the Methodist girls’ club colours, by friends of the bride. The bridegroom presented the bridesmaids with carved ivory floral posies and the flower girls with strings of pearls. ■ The reception was held at Anderson's rooms. Mrs. Mills wore a brown frock of marocain and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. The.bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of black georgette- and satin coat and black hat with touch of green. She carried a posy of red roses.
