1200 CRATES OF FINEST. QUALITY OF CHEESE AT NGAERE. To have made 1200 crates of- cheese over a continuous period and to have had the whole output graded finest is the proud record of Mr. F. Pedersen, manager of the Ngaire Dairy Company. At the very opening of the season a small parcel of Ngaire cheese was below finest, but, as soon as milking began in earnest, Mr. Pedersen “struck” finest and has kept to that high standard ever since.
Speaking to a Daily News representative yesterday, Mr. H. C. Taylor, chairman of directors of the company, expressed his pleasure at the success of cheese-making in the Ngaere district, where tests averaged a good deal above that generally favoured. His company, said Mr. Taylor, was concentrating upon setting the very highest possible standard of quality, and he was satisfied from reports issued by the farm instructor that suppliers generally were doing their utmost to deliver nothing but pure, wholesome milk. When the milk was tested on delivery it showed this to be so, he said. THURSDAY BOWLING TEAMS. AVON TEAMS SELECTED.
