STRATFORD ITEMS.

Mrs. G. Smart is on a holiday visit to Mr. and Mrs. C. Smart, New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. C. Mangin are holidaymaking at Timaru. Miss M. Rutherfurd was a visitor to Stratford as the guest of Mrs. E. S. Rutherfurd for the week-end. Nurse Kear is the guest of Mrs. Max Gemhoefer, Toko.

Mrs. Maurice Chainey, Toko, is spending a few days at New Plymouth. Miss Harper has retufhed to Toko after a holiday at Hawera.

The reading club on Friday night met at the residence of Mrs. R. R. Curtis for the reading of “Autumn Crocuses.” Those present were Mesdames Rutherfurd, Parsloe, G. Hall, Urwin and the Misses G. North, M. Malone, Naish, Wilson, Porritt and M. Skoglund.
