ENGLAND-CAPE TOWN FLIGHTS. STILL NO WORD OF SMITH. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 17. Mrs. J. A. Mollison (Amy Johnson), who is flying from England to Cape Town in an attempt on her husband’s record, has cabled her husband: “Made a forced landing at Benguela; no oil pressure; doubt if rectifiable here.” Benguela is a port on the coast of Portuguese West Africa. There has been no news for 70 hours of Victor Smith, the 19-year-old pilot who is missing in French West Africa while on a flight from Cape Town to England.
