Mollison (Amy Johnson), who is flying from England to Cape Town in an attempt on her husband’s record, has cabled her husband: “Made a forced landing at Benguela; no oil pressure; doubt if rectifiable here.” Benguela is a port on the coast of Portuguese West Africa.
