INFANT DROWNED IN CREEK
TRIED TO CROSS ON PLANK BRIDGE By Telegraph.—Prass Association. | Rotorua, Nov. 18. An 18-months-old child, Selwyn Heywood, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Heywood, was drowned on Thursday afternoon at Ngakuru. The child was apparently playing beside a creek near his parents’ home and endeavoured to cross q plank bridge spanning the water. The mother missed the child, and after a search the body was found lying in two feet of water near the bridge. The child had then been in the water for some time and was dead. ?■
