An interesting function will he held on Wednesday afternoon in S. Mary’s Hall, New Plymouth. The proceeds will be in aid of the backblocks mission, which is in much need of financial help. This will be probably the last floral display for the season and a wealth of roses and other summer flowers will replace the bulbs of early spring. The stalls will be stocked with tempting and artistic wares. Contributions from town and country friends will be gratefully received for any of the stalls; also cut flowers and decorated bowls, vases, tables and mantels. Any particular® may be had from Archdeacon Evans or Mrs. W. H. Skinner. The pupils of Miss Elwyn Riley will dance on the vicarage lawn and, as usual, provide a great attraction., 1
