HOME-MADE TOILET SOAP.

An excellent soap, which should not irritate the most delicate skin and which has the merit of being “individual” is made thus: Melt very gently together in an earthenware pan five pounds of shredded white Castile soap and one pound of palm-oiL When thoroughly blended and nearly cool, stir carefully in one dram of lavender oil, one and a quarter drams oil of citronella, two drams oil of lemon, two drains oil of bergamot. Be sure all ingredients are well mixed. Mould the soap into tablets, wrap each in tissue paper, and store in a dry place.
