DELICIOUS BROWN FRUIT CAKE. (Will keep well.) Four cups Bisley’s Wholemeal, 1 cup currants, 1 cup raisins, 1 cup peel, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup butter, 4 eggs, 3 teaspoons, baking powder. Enough milk to make firm dough. Rub butter into meal, add dry ingredients, beat eggs well and add to milk before mixing with rest. This recipe will make small patty tin cakes or a large cake or cakes. Don’t forget the wholemeal. Obtainable from all grocers. 51b. bag 1/4. 251 b. bag 5/9.
