UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
£686,000,000 PAID SINCE ‘ WAR

In the House of Commons, in answer to a question, Captain A. M. Hudson, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour, stated that since the Armistice the total payments from the unemployment insurance fund was £686,000,000. Additionally, tho administration cost was £61,500,000, interest on the debt £17,500,000, while £61,500,000 was paid in out of work donations.
