BAROMETERS ABNORMALLY DOW. / ■ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A few scattered showers are still likely, principally in eastern districts of the South Island, but otherwise the weather should be fair with an improvement everywhere to-morrow, except in the west and south of the South Island. A slight anti-cyclone is passing to the noi-th of New Zealand, while a fresh depression has reached eastern Australia. Barometers are abnormally low over the Tasman Sea and the New Zealand area as a whole. Winds light to. moderate, variable at first with southerlies prevailing, but the winds will tend to northerly to-morrow. Seas will be smooth to moderate.
