GREECE EXPRESSES GRATITUDE .

(British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Sept. 30. The British Charge d’Affaires (Mr. Cavendish Bentrick) has conveyed a message from the Government to the Greek Prime Minister (M. E. Vcnizelos) stating that if the assistance of the British Mediterranean fleet is required to help in rescue work an any other area devastated by earthquakes the request could be addressed direct to Admiral Sir Erille Chatfield. M. Venizelos has expressed deep appreciation of and gratitude for the help already given by the British Navy.
