Rec. 10 p.m. London, Sept. ,I*s. The American aeroplane American Nurse, in. which Dr. Leon Pisciil'li, William Ul'brecht and Nurse Newcomer were attempting to fly from New York to Rome, has disappeared, not having ■been reported since it was seen 400 miles south-west of Ireland. The fliers are 23 hours overdue. It is estimated that the petrol was exhausted at midnight on Wednesday. Grave fears are entertained for the safety of the monoplane.
