FALL WHILE LOPPffING TREES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ‘ Masterton, Last Night. Sidney Hector Dixon, aged 43, while engaged on Mr. H. B. Maunsell’s property at Opaki in lopping trees, fell from a height of about 12 feet fracturing the base of his skull and breaking his neck.

Mr. Dixon leaves a wife and a young child. He served right through the war.
