Bertie, a parrot, is a riot in East Street market, off Walworth Road, London. His mastery of the vernacular is such that the police have warned his owner, Mr. George Franks, of the “Little Wonder Pet Stores,” not to hang his cage outside the shop. Bertie’s language makes strong men stagger. Mr. Franks says it is a mystery to him where Bertie picked it up.
