The John left Dunedin on Saturday for New Plymouth, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington arid is due at New Plymouth about Friday. She

will sail for Port Waikato after discharge. (Hooker Bros.). The Hauturu is to load at Onehunga to-day for New Plymouth and Wanganui and is due at New Plymouth tomorrow. (Northern Co.). The Opihi was scheduled to load at Dunedin yesterday for New Plymouth, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wel< lirigton and Nelson. She is due at New Plymouth on Saturday and will sail for Westport and Dunedin after discharge. (U.S.S. Co.). MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. SOMERSET LOADING AT NELSON. To complete discharge of her- Liverpool cargo, and to commence her homeward loading to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Federal steamer Somerset reached Nelson on Saturday from Port Chalmers. She will later complete at New Plymouth, Wellington, Timaru, and Bluff. The vessel is due at New Plymouth on Thursday and is scheduled to clear Bluff finally on August 20 for London, via Cape Horn, Montevideo, and Dakar. KAREPO TO LOAD IN AUSTRALIA. The Karepo is to leave Greymouth today for Melbourne and Adelaide. She will then load at Adelaide and Melbourne for New Plymouth, Auckland, Napier and Wellington. The vessel is due at 'New Plymouth towards the end of August. MATT ANA REACHES TENERIFFE. The Mahana, which loaded dairy produce and .meat at New Plymouth about the middle of June, is reported to have reached Teneriffe. The Mahana left Auckland on June 22 for London. TOT ARA FOR ANNUAL OVERHAUL. The Totara was to leave Napier yesterday for Wellington. She is to pay off and lay up for annual overhaul and survey. RANGITATA MIDNIGHT THURSDAY. The New Zealand Shipping Company yesterday received a further wireless message from its motor-liner Rangitata, en route from London, to Wellington and Auckland, reporting that she now expects to arrive in the stream at midnight on Thursday. She will berth on Friday morning to land her passengers and mails and to commence discharge of her London cargo. BRISBANE MARU FROM JAPAN. The Federal Company, local agents for the O.S.K. Line, have received cabled advice that the motor-ship Brisbane Maru, from Japanese ports, cleared Geelong last Friday for Wellington. She is due at Wellington to-morrow even* ing, to discharge Japanese cargo, and to load for Japan. C. AND D. LINE LONDON VESSELS. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Huon left London on Friday • for Auckland and Wellington, She is due at Auckland about August 31. The vessel will bo followed, from London by the motor-ship Port Gisborne, which is ■to sail for Auckland and Dunedin on : September 7, and the motorship Port Diinedin, which is to sail for Auckland, . 'Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin on September 17. VESSELS FROM NEW YORK. Following the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Hobart, which left New York for Auckland, Wellington and Australia on July 23, the steamer Port Hunter is scheduled to leave New York on October 30 for AuckLyttelton and Dunedin.; GQLDEN'EAGLE FROM AMERICA. The American steamer Golden Eagle was scheduled to clear San Pedro yesterday with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australia. She is due at Auckland, on August 27.
