DRAUGHTS GAME POPULAR
SOUTHLAND CLAIMS RECORD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Invercargill, Last Night. A record for New Zealand in the number of hoards used is claimed by those connected with a draughts match played yesterday between teams representing the eastern and western districts of Southland, 82 boards being in use and 164 players taking part. It is stated that the previous record was held by Otago with between 50 and 60 botrdi.
