S p.m. Sydney, July 27Th© body of Hilda White, aged 33, Darlinghurst, was found in Centennial Park close to the city to-day with many marks of violence on the head and neck. Subsequent examination by a Government medical officer disclosed that the victim had been subjected to brutal handling and possibly outraged before being strangled with a portion of her own underclothing. - Miss White is an Aucklander who came to Australia four and a-half years ago with her mother, sister and brother. Sho attended a picture show last night and was apparently forcibly carried off in a motor-car to the park, where there are many evidences of 'her struggles before her death. Every detective available is investigating the case. A young male acquaintance is being questioned already.
