WOMAN’S SUICIDE
HUSBAND OUT OF WORK. -LATE EARL OF GLASGOW’S SON. London, July Id. A verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned at the inquest on an Australian woman, Mrs. Boyle, wife of the Hon. John' Boyle, son of the late Seventh Earl of Glasgow, a former Governor of New Zealand.- . • Mrs. Boyle, who was 47 years old, died as. the .result of, jumping from a hospi-, tai window. Mr.' Boyle, who retired on half-pay from the Royal Air Force, last year with the rank- of air-commodore, said he had been trying to' find work. His wife, temperamentally unstable, entered the hospital. She vaguely threatened suicide, declaring- that she was sick of life. “Our relations "had not always been happy, but . lately they were ideal,” Mr, Boyle said. “I visited her id hospital daily.”
