At a meeting of members of the Church of England last evening it was stated that in many .parishes the people were dfdpping away from the church because clergymen were introduoing matter that did not belong to the Anglican service. Only a week ago, it was stated, in one parish, not a local one, the clergyman had certain ornaments on the altar that were new to the church, and some of the families present walked out. It was contended by one speaker that the practices of Anglo-Catholicism tended to drive people from the church.
