DEATH OF LORD PLUMER
NEW ZEALAND’S GREAT REGRET
GOVERNOR-GE'NERAL’S MESSAGE.

The following message has been despatched by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, to the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs in connection with the death of Field-Marshal Viscount Plumer: “On behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand I desire to express profound regret at the death of Field-Marshal Viscount Plumer, one of the Empire’s'most distinguished soldiers, and to ask that their sympathy may be conveyed to his widow and family- By none will his loss be more deeply mourned than by the military forces bf this Dominion and members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force who served under his command in the army during the critical period of the Great War. ,
