FOUND GUILTY OF BIGAMY
MAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.
SECOND “WIFE’S” AWAKENING.

Auckland, July 18.
Charles William Kitson, aged 48, a carter, was committed for sentence today bn a charge of bigamy. He was married in England in 1005 and went through a form of marriage at Auckland in 1924 with a woman who believed herself to be his wife till Match of this In evidence tb-day she said that there were three children and a fourth was expected. He had always been good to her and the children. A detective said that accused was much respected and had never before been in trouble. He recntly received a letter from his wife in which she said that she would be sbrry if he wefe prosecuted for bigamy. t Kitson said that after coining to New Zealand he wrote asking his wife to join him, but he had not heard from her for about three years before the second marriage.
