N. ISLAND TITLE TO HASTINGS.

Hastings, Last Night.

The North Island sparrow championship of 21 birds at 21 yards was fired at Longlands to-day, the entries being representative of the whole of the whole of the North Island. E. Al. Meredith, Hastings, was the winner.

The weather and the birds were very good and the standard of shooting was high. Results are: E. M. Meredith (Hastings) 20, S. G. Glenn (Gisborne) 19, D. N. Campbell (Hastings) 19, T. Parker (Napier) 18, H. Howlett (Hastings) 17, F. Joblin (Hastings) 17, H. S. Hooper (Hastings) 17, T. V. Marrin (Hastings) 14, H. Clinch (National Park) J 3, H. J. Rice (Takapau) 12, J. Mills (Hastings) •12.
