SIAMESE REBELS SUCCEED

KING ACCEDES TO DEMANDS

‘CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY’

PRINCES AS HOSTAGES

TANKS IN BANGKOK .CITY

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright, Rec. 5,5 p.m. Berlin, June 25. A dramatic telephone message to the Vossiche Zeitung from a German airwoman, Fraulein Marga von Etzdorf, at present at Bangkok, reports a revolution in Siam during the night. The Princes and Ministers were imprisoned in the palace as hostages. Their Majesties were 1 at their seaside home. Rebellious sailors and soldiers thronged the streets of Bangkok, with tanks and machine guns everywhere. Later messages from Singapore confirm the reports that the revolution was completely successful. The People’s Party demanded a constitutional monarchly, failing which a suitable prince would be king. King Prajadhipok has replied, accepting all the conditions. Complete order now prevails. The King states he agrees to the conditions in order to avoid bloodshed. He has long had a constitutional system in mind as he is a frail man unable to carry the burden long.
