The House of Assembly has passes the second reading of the Wood Pulp and Paper Industry Bill, which grants rights and concessions to a private company over 182,000 acres of land in the Florentine Valley for the purpose of manufacture of wood pulp and paper. •The company has undertaken to produce 90,000 tons of newsprint a year. The Bill was referred to a select committee whose report is expected next week.
