JIAN’S DEATH AT VHANGAREI. ” By Whangarei, June 11. While Sydney Smith and William Dickerson were cutting wood near the Kawakawa hospital late on Thursday afternoon a circular saw which was being operated by a motor-car engine flew into fragments, killing Smith and injuring Dickerson.
