BURGLAR STILL ACTIVE. About sixty attended the popular ''community sing” in the Methodist schoolroom on Wednesday evening, and an enjoyable time was spent. The song leader was Mr. B. Murgatroyd and the music was supplied by an orchestra comprising Mr, M. Sampson, Mrs. Locks and Messrs. R, George, C. King and D. Locke. Items were given by Miss E. Fraser, Mr. N. Silby and the Rev. AV. B. Cummins.
The organising and supervision of the Boy Scout movement was discussed at a meeting held on Wednesday evening, when arrangements Were made for putting the movement in AVaitara on an ■Official basis.
The burglar is still busy in. entering or attempting to enter business premises in AVaitara. When Mr. H. I, Chittenden commenced work at 2.30 a.m. yesterday morning at his bakery in McLean Street ho found that his preniises had been forcibly entered. No money was kept in the shop, and apart from 'a few cakes nothing apparently is missing. Another door in the building, which was locked, and barred, also shows signs z of the use of an instrument,
