The German Minister of the Interior, Baron Von Gayl, characterised the talk ef the re-establishment of a monarchy as foolish and injurious. Addressing the Reicharat Baron Von Gayl said he believed a monarchy the most suitable form of Government, but when existence itself was at stake "a monarchy is not a question to ba solved in our time. The Government, he added, would not distract the people afresh by reopening the question.
