The new evening wraps are very pretty and quite different from the short ones in vogue recently. They come right to the knees and instead of being flared are moulded to the figure. One of the features is a tiny cape that comes just past the shoulders and is outlined with a band of narrow fur. A wrap after this fashion was seen at one of the balls recently and it was one of the most attractive anyone could wish for, being made of a pretty powder blue chiffon velvet with a white silk lining and a tiny cape coming halfway between elbow and shoulder, edged with a narrow band of ermine fur. These cloaks are quite simple to make and the home dressmaker should have no difficulty in copying this style.

A farewell afternoon was tendered to Mrs. D. Smith, York Road, Midhirgt, by the All Saints’ Anglican guild members on Friday at the home of Mrs. Symonds, the joint hostesses being Mrs. Symonds and Mrs. Vickers. The competition was won by Mrs. Hunt, who also won the euchre contest. Mrs. A. Graham presented Mrs. Smith with a beautiful brass vase, Mrs. Smith responding with a little speech of farewell. The members then wished Mrs. Smith much success in her new home and hoped she would not forget her old friends. Among those present were Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. W. Bunning, Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Paul, Mrs. Kirkby, Mrs. Askew, Mrs. J. Dill, Mrs. Toms, Mrs. Oger and Miss C. Latter.
