Miss Pattriek, Director of Plunket Nursing, is visiting New Plymouth.

The Hon. Mr. Justice Blair will leave New Plymouth for Wellington this morning.

Mr. A. Thorne, of the New Plymouth staff of Newton King, Ltd., has returned from a visit to England. The health of Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., New Plymouth, has not improved as rapidly as was hoped. He has been ordered a complete change by hi? doctor and will probably go north. The death has occurred at Brisbane, states a cable, of Mr. Richard Sandeison Taylor, aged 65, editor of the Bnsbane Courier for the past 13 years. He had been on the staff of the Courier for 45 years.

A Sydney cable reports the. death of Mrs. Grace Poole Ziele, aged 86, who was married at Clyde (Central Otago). She was the daughter of Professor and Mrs. Roberts. Her son is Dr. Herbert Ziele, Napier.
