SHEEPSKIN AND HIDE SALE. PRICES AT STRATFORD FIXTURE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., Stratford, reports that the monthly sale of sheepskins and hides was held yesterday, when a catalogue comprising 903 sheepskins, 242 hides and 14 tins of tallowjwas offered to a bench of six buyers representing Dominion and overseas houses. All wool is being held over until next selling season. Prices were: Sheepskins, dry (at per lb): Crossbred, pelts Id, ditto quarter-woolled Id to 3d, ditto half-woolled Id, ditto three-quarter-woolled Id to IJd, ditto fullwoolled id, ditto double-fleeced id, ditto hoggets 4d to lfd„ ditto lambs id to 3d. Competition was general and the market showed practically no change compared with the closing rates of the last serie#, except for dusty and burry descriptions, which were irnegiilar and difficult to quit.
