“These young men set'out on an expedition of • breaking and entering throughout th© Palmerston North district and went as far as Otajri,” said Detective Russell in th© Magistrate’s Court when Cyril Anderson and Sherrock Anderson (brothers), Richard Dickson and Francis William Trembath appeared on several charges of breaking, entering and theft. Th© detective added that when the Andersons’ house was searched a tremendous quantity of stolen goods was recovered, the amount in value being £4OO or £5OO.
All th© accused pleaded guilty to the charges in which they were concerned either jointly or separately, and they were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
