MR. W. HALL AGAIN PRESIDENT.
The annual meeting of the Huirangi branch of the Farmers’ Union was held last night, the president, Mr. W. Hall, presiding over a representative attendance. Mr. H. E. Blyde, provincial president for North Taranaki, was also present.
The report showed that the branch had a membership of 49, the organiser, Mr. Nelson, having enrolled several new ones. Members had availed themselves of the advantages of direct trading with the South Island. The balance-sheet showed that the year had begun with a credit of £8 15s 5d and had ended with a credit of £9 2s Sd. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. W. Hall (re-elected); vicepresident, Messrs. F. Blattler and E. Allen; secretary, Mr. F. Y. Andrews (reelected); delegate to provincial executive, Mr. W. Hall; delegate to provincial conference, Mr. C.
