COMPETITIONS NEARING FINISH.
UFADFRS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Th© New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club completed the 12th stage of the championship and handicap competitions last week, when good scores were registered’ at 500 and 600 yards. Conditions -were fairly easy on both days. ' With one more stage to be fired the handicap competition for the Marett Cup is in an interesting position, only two points separating the firstsix mem_ Theleaders ar© S. G. Higgs 109, G.E. Th© competition will be concluded next i Saturday with a match at 300 and 60 leaders in the club championships are: A Grade: G. E. Putt Ito, S. G. Higgs 188, F. C. Hogg 187, G. H. Ta* lor 184, J.
