FINE FOR TROUT POACHING
DYNAMITE KILLS 30 FISH.

Ash'burton, April 22.
James Wear, labourer of Fairton, was fined £l5 and costs £5 12s for taking 30 trout from the Ashburton River by means of dynamite. He was convicted and discharged for fishing without a licence and taking fish other than by rod and line.
