A tennis sensation occurred at White Sulphur Springe, West Virginia, to-day when Mar-el Rainville (Montreal, Canadian Davie Cup player) and Eugene McCauliff (Yonkers, New York), playing together as a team for the first time this week, defeated Allison and Van Ryn, national doubles champions, by 4 Q t 6—4, 6—3, in the semi-final of the annual Mason and Dixon championship tournament.
