KING MART WINS AT CAULFIELD EFFECT OF TOTALISATOR BAN. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, April 16. At the Caulfield races to-day the chief event, the Glenhuntly Handicap, one mile and a quarter, resulted: King Mart, 9.2 (Webster), 1; Thrawn, 7.2 (Smith) 2; Romany Rye, 7.5 (Wilson) 3. Twen-ty-one started, including Waterline and Vertigern. Won by half a head, a neck between second and third. Time, 2niin. lOsec.
Sydney reports that Jockey J. Munro was suspended for careless riding at the Moorefield meeting to-day. The embargo on* the totalisator in New South Wales has seriously affected the attendance at all racing fixtures.
