WELL-KNOWN GOLF PLAYERS.

London, March 26.

The engagement, which was announced last November of Miss Joyce Wethered, who has been described as the greatest woman golfer of all time, to Major Cecil K, Hutchison, a former Scottish international golfer, has been broken off, says the Times.

Major Hutchison, who was runner-up in the 1909 amateur golf championship, is 55, and Miss. Wethered 31. Miss Wethered has won the ladies’ open golf championship four times since 1922.
