RATES BEING PAID FREELY
POSITION IN INGLEWOOD COUNTY ONLY 11 PER CENT. OUTSTANDING. Of a total of £12,900 9s sd’ in rates struck by the Inglewood County Council for the year 1931-32, £11,599 5s Id, or 89 per cent., had been paid at March 31, leaving £l3OO 14s 2d outstanding. In the previous year, of a total of £14,555 Ss 8d struck, 85.9 per cent., or £12,507 15s, had been paid by the corresponding date.
The position of the general rates was as follows: North riding, £1822 2s 9d struck, £1694 Us lOd paid and £127 10s lid outstanding; South riding, £2995 2s 3d £2592 5s sd, £362 16s 10d; East riding, £595 18s 3d, £412 8s Bd, £lB3 9s 7d; West riding, £2925 18s fid, £2696 12s fid, £229 fie. Of hospital rates totalling £1729 3s, £1641 9s 9d had been paid, leaving £B7 13s 3d outstanding. Of special rates totalling £2872 4s B<l, £2562 7s 7d had been paid, leaving £309 17s 7d outstanding. 1
