Feilding, Last Night, j The day was sunny and breezy and there was’ a large attendance to see good racing ‘ at the concluding, day of the Feilding meeting. The totalisator handled £13,130 10s, compared with £18,954 on the corresponding day last year. For the meeting the. machine handled £24,876 10s, compared with £35,866. The re? suits are:— x . Won by two k’gths, five lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 56 l-ssec. Arrowhead was first out, Balloon following. Crossing the top Callapat and Henry of Navarre went to the front. Balloon hit. the fence . along the back stretch and lost ground. Henry of Navarre led into the straight from Callapat, Arrowhead and Just an Idea. Arrowhead took the lead and won easily. Lady Court was first out from the barrier, Chief Savage and Haulbowline following. Haulbowliiie took the lead from Lady Savage and Tai Ab into the straight. In the run to the post Lady Court was in front but Tai Ao gathered speed and won well.

From a good start Korokio went to the front from King Colossus, Arrow Lad, Gold Dawn, Btriar Root, Grand Jury and High Faintin'. At th& half mile King Colossus moved forward and led to the straight followed by Korokio, Shrewd, Gold Dawn, Arrow Lad and High Falutin’. Shrewd headed the favourite but High Falutin’ finished fast and won well. Grand Jury got up just in time to beat Shrewd.

Won by three lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 12 4-ssec. From a good start Souchong gradually took the lead and kept it from Aston and Hampden. OROUA HACK CUP. Of £2OO. One and a-quarter miles. 1— CONSTANT SUN, 8.2 (Grylls) .. 1 S—DECREE NISI, 7.2 (Duncan) .... 2 3— TIGERISM, 8.3 (Barry) 3 Also started: 5 Auctioneer 7.13, 2 Manawatu 7.11, 2 Saltpot 7.10, 4 Air Laddie 7.9, 6 Tentcall 7.4. Won by • two lengths, a head between second and 'third. Time, 2min 7 4-ssec. Tigerism led past the stand from Saltpot, Constant Sun, Decree Nisi and Auctioneer. Round the bend Saltpot overhauled Tigerism, with Constant Sun, Decree Nisi and Auctioneer coming. Entering the straight Constant Sun led from Saltpot, Tigerism and Decree Nisi. Constant Sun won l -.ily, but only heads separated the next three! MAKING HANDICAP. Of £llO. Seven furlongs. 4— GREEN LINNET, 8.6 (Weston) .. Acora led from the barrier and was followed by Habit to the entrance to the straight. At the distance Green Lin--net and Juggle came up, Green Linnet finishing fast in a good race.
