As a result of his investigations into the charges by the former Newfoundland Minister of Finance, Mr. Peter Cashin, that tho Premier, Sir Richard Squires, falsified the minutes of the council-to facilitate manipulations of public funds the Governor, Sir John Middelton, found “no discrepancy, nd falsification and no irregularity” in his report, which was read to the House of Assembly to-day. Mr. Cashin resigned when he made the charges.
