COMMITTEES REPORT TO BOARD. GRANTS BEING MADE FOR WORK By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Unemployment Board was in touch with women’s unemployment committees which reported on their activities from time to time, stated the Minister in charge (the Rt. Hon, J. G. Coates) in reply to Mr. D. G. Sullivan (Lab., Avon) in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr. Coates said grants had recently been made to these committees in consideration 'of the work they were doing to relieve unemployment among women, and the question of making further grants would be considered in the light of the committees’ reports and to* heed for funds in each centre.
