Mr. G. Pownall, Wanganui, who is motoring through from Hamilton, spent last night at New Plymouth. One of the select band of New Zealanders who are occupying prominent positions in England is Mr. Oscar Borer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Borer, of Wellington. Advice was received on Tuesday that he had been chosen, out of 113 applicants, to be chief engineer to the Ouse Catchment Board. Mr. Borer left the Dominion 13 years ago, and has since been engaged in engineering works in England and on the Continent.
