COASTAL MOVEMENTS. •The' Opihi is to load at Dunedin today for New Plymouth, via Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson. The Opihi is due at New Plymouth about March 31. (U.S.S. Co.). The Kini, from Westport via Greymouth and Wellington, will bring 541 tons of cargo for New Plymouth, where she is expected at about 10 o’clock iliin morning. She will proceed to-morrow to Greymouth. (U.SjS. Co.) The John, from Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington, is due at New Plymouth at about 10 o’clock this morning and will sail this afternoon for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.) The Holmglen loaded at Dunedin on Thursday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and New Plymouth. The vessel is due at New Plymouth to-morrow and will sail later for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.). t _ The Hauturu left Onehunga at 4 p.m. yesterday for New Plymouth, where she is due this morning. The vessel will discharge 170 tons of cargo and proceed to Wanganui in the afternoon before returning to Onehunga. The Hauturu is expected at New Plymouth again next Wednesday. MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. CAMBRIDGE SAILS FOR AUCKLAND. The Cambridge, after loading 5000 boxes of butter, 5000 crates of cheese and 20,000 freight carcases of meat at New Plymouth for London and west coast ports of Great Britain, sailed last night for Auckland, Napier, Qisborne and Wellington to complete. The Cambridge is scheduled to sail from Wellington for London, via Cape Horn and Dakar, on April 9. PORT BRISBANE’S DEPARTURE. The C. and D. vessel Port Brisbane, under charter to the Shaw, Savill and Albion. Co., completed loading 10,400 boxes of butter, 5000 crates of cheese and 2000 freight carcases of meat at New Plymouth last night and sailed for Wanganui and Wellington. She is due to sail from Wellington on April 2 for Southampton and London, via Cape Horn and Montevideo. K~.ARiF.PO TO-MORROW AFTERNOON. The Union Company’s steamer Karepo, which left Melbourne on Friday with cargo loaded there and at Adelaide and Edithburg, is expected at New Plymouth about 5 o’clock to-morrow afternoon. The vessel will have 260 tons of cargo td put out at New Plymouth and is to sail at noon on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington and Tarakohe to complete discharge. RARANGA ANNOUNCED TO LOAD. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga is announced to arrive at New Plymouth on April 26 to load for west coast ports of Great Britain. RUAJITNtE FOR ■WELLINGTON. The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s liner Ruahine is to sail from Auckland for Wellington on Thursday to complete unloading ■cargo from London. MIDDLESEX FROM ANTWERP. Further wireless advice from the Federal Line steamer Middlesex states that she will arrive at Auckland from Antwerp to-morrow morning, instead of todav. The vessel has a basic slag cargo for Auckland and New Plymouth. She is due at New Plymouth on April 6 to discharge 1700 'tons. TRANSHIPMENTS BY THE MAKURA The Union Company’s liner Makura, which arrived at Wellington on Tuesday morning from Sydney, brought transhipments ex the Mirtura, Mahina, Zealandia, Burmah, Muruda, M'aloja, Nerbudda, Strathnaver, Ohangte, Orungal, Mitaho Maru and Balranald. ORARI DUE FROM LIVERPOOL. The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s motor-ship Orari is scheduled to arrive at Auckland from Liverpool on Friday. The vessel has cargo from west coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Wellington on March 31. ROTORUA REACHES CARACAS BAY. The N.Z. Shipping Co. has received advice that the liner Rotorua arrived at Caracas Bay on Friday and sailed the same day in continuation of her voyage to Suva, Wellington, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Timaru. She is scheduled to reach Wellington on April 18. WAIKAWA SAIDS FOR WELLINGTON The Waikawa was dispatched from Auckland for Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney on Monday evening to complete unloading cargo from Pacific Coast ports. She is due at Welligton to-mor-row. ALTERATION OF MATSON ROUTE. The new Matson Line steamers Mariposa and Monterey will include Los Angeles as a port of call when proceeding from San Francisco to Auckland, also on the return voyage. At present the company’s steamers Sierra, Sonoma and I Ventura call at Los Angeles only on the southern run, but they proceed from Honolulu to San Francisco direct when north-bound. SOUTH SEA ISLANDS SERVICES. The Union Company’s steamer Tofua left Auckland on Monday morning for Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. She is due at Suva on Friday. The Karetu arrived at Lautoka from Sydney on .Sunday, morning and will leave Fiji this morning for Tonga, thence Auckland.
